Part Time Jewish Educator (Sunday Mornings during school term-time, to start September 2024)
New London Synagogue is looking for an inspiring Jewish educator to join our Sunday Cheder team. We are particularly keen to hear from those with a passion for teaching Judaism through hands-on projects including music, art and theatre.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with children between the ages of 4-11. They will be an educator who can use their own strengths and passions to inspire. They will be professional, organised, energetic & enthusiastic, and will have a drive for empowering young people – giving them the enthusiasm to take ownership of their religious and cultural Jewish background.
Working with our Head of Cheder, Gabriella Spencer-Hope, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons and delivery of our fun and varied Jewish Studies and Hebrew curricula.
The Cheder is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children – applicants must be willing to undergo a DBS check.
